About Discount Tractor Parts
Discount Tractor Parts has been providing New Zealanders with quality parts for over 20 years. John and Eileen Lee first opened the doors in 1995. The bulk of their business was initially in new and used Ferguson and Zetor tractor parts. Due to their hard work, DTP now provides parts for a much wider range of tractors, plus a large selection of hydraulic rams, hoses and fittings.
After making the decision to retire, the business was purchased by Brian Howe. With the ongoing support and assistance from John and Eileen, DTP has ensured the same level of customer care and quality of parts it has previously delivered to its clients.

Brian Howe is practical with all things mechanical and has a passion for tractors and boats, which also goes back nearly 20 years since moving to Whangaparaoa. The opportunity to buy DTP brought together the interest with tractors into work which was too good an opportunity to turn down. Brian has a wealth of business management experience to ensure the focus remains on providing a high level of customer service and quality parts.
The speedway experience is also apparent in Brian's background having been actively involved with working on and racing stockcars for over 10 years at Waikaraka park through the 1980's. Tractor repair and servicing has been an ongoing interest, especially with the Massey Ferguson range. His first, a TE20, purchased for $200, to his current, a MF35.
The business needed to be relocated as part of the sale and after careful consideration the decision was made to relocate to Silverdale. Some changes have been apparent from the start. DTP will be open Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm and on Saturday mornings from 9:00 am till 12:30 pm.
A showroom displaying high quality parts has been set up as well as a workshop for hydraulic hose repair and supply and tractor restorations. Stop in and have a chat at any time.
